Marksbury & District Playgroup is a member of the Pre-School Learning Alliance and is committed to providing the highest standard of education and learning for your child.
Our curriculum is based on the Early Learning Goals as outlined in the Foundation Stage documents published by the DfEE.  This curriculum underpins all future learning by supporting, fostering, promoting and developing children’s progress in the following six key areas:

• Personal, Social and Emotional Development
• Communication, Language and Literacy
• Mathematical Development
• Knowledge and Understanding of the World
• Physical Development
• Creative Development

We operate a topic based curriculum where a different theme is chosen for each term.  We aim to provide an environment in which children will be encouraged to learn through play, promoting all aspects of their development using the Early Learning Goals from the Foundation Stage as a basis for developing a broad based curriculum for each individual.
